Not everyone wants the same old wedding disco.
For some people, the standard formula is absolutely fine. A safe playlist, boring selections, the same songs you hear at every wedding.
But for others, that just isn’t the vibe.
If you care about the music, want the night to feel like a proper party, and like the idea of your wedding sounding a bit more like you, that’s where a more modern approach makes all the difference.
That’s what I do.
WHAT MAKES A MODERN WEDDING DJ DIFFERENT?
Let's squash one thing straight away: being a modern wedding DJ isn’t about being trendy for the sake of it.
It’s about understanding that most people don’t want their wedding to feel like it’s been copied and pasted from a script.
You want great music, high energy on the dancefloor, and a night that reflects your taste rather than a tired old list of songs generated by ChatGPT.
That might mean pop-punk anthems. I could be house and R&B. Maybe you love drum 'n' bass and dubstep.

It all comes down to you: your taste, your likes and dislikes, and the kind of party you want to have.

Because that’s the whole point.
Every wedding is different. Everyone has their own tastes, favourite songs, guilty pleasures and absolute no-go tracks.

That way, the music isn’t just something happening in the background. It becomes the core of the vibe.

For me, that’s really what it comes down to. Don't get me wrong, it's not about throwing out every song people know and love. It’s about choosing the right music at the right time, keeping the night moving, and avoiding the tired old routine when it doesn’t fit the room.
Sometimes that means dropping a massive classic at exactly the right moment.
Sometimes it means pulling out a family favourite or a big tune from the stag or hen weekend.
The point is that the night should feel natural, exciting and fun. And I'm big on not being afraid to play stuff that you wouldn't expect to hear at a wedding!
